Sony BPLA Welcomes INVISO into its Group of Authorized System Integrators

INVISO to cover the English-speaking Caribbean region starting on April 1, 2010

March 2, 2010, Miami, Florida – Miami-based Sony Broadcast & Professional Latin America is set to welcome INVISO into its group of system integrators beginning on April 1, 2010. INVISO will be responsible for the English-speaking Caribbean region, a major area that has incredible potential for Latin America.

“With INVISO’s geographical footprint and its vast experience, we will be getting a value-add that will allow us to meet the integration and turnkey project needs more effectively in all corners of this vast area. We know that the synergy between Sony and INVISO will be very beneficial for both companies,” said Carlos Nogueras, Sony BPLA Broadcast Sales Manager.

About INVISO

Founded in 1994 with headquarters in Miami and a focus on Latin America and the Caribbean, Video Solution International, Inc. (INVISO) is a supplier of products for the Telecommunications Industry, including equipment for video, audio and data transport, as well as signal management and monitoring. With an extensive network of authorized agents throughout the region, the company provides project integration support and after-sale service through its brands, including Miranda Technologies, ADC, Broadata and now Sony.

With the vision of providing North American telecommunication companies with an efficient and economical way of developing the Latin American market, Francis Shufelt, President and CEO, founded INVISO over 15 years ago. Through his experience and the prestige gained in the industry, he has succeeded in strengthening a business that crosses borders and is valued as a reference point in the United States, Central and South America. During his career spanning over 40 years, he has worked for such companies as 3M, Tektronix, Thomson and Grass Valley, in the U.S. He also lived in Brazil for several years, where he was able to learn two new languages, Portuguese and Spanish, and gain first-hand knowledge of the market, which became the basis for creating his own business.

In addition to Shufelt, INVISO’s team is headed by Jose Luis Reyes, Sales and Operations Vice President. With more than 15 years’ experience as engineer in the Venevision TV channel, Reyes also successfully served in Cinemateriales’ sales management, and joined INVISO in 2005. “For INVISO, this agreement with Sony is a great step toward strengthening our presence in the Caribbean. Armed with brands such as Miranda, ADC and Broadata, which perfectly complement the Sony brand, the resulting synergy will increase INVISO’s ability to offer turnkey solutions, presenting an excellent proposition for system integration,” explained Reyes.

Amleto Colandrea, Project Manager, is also part of the INVISO team. His experience spans the areas of system automation, production, post-production and graphics systems. After joining INVISO in early 2008, he has been able to expand the Andean market for the company, making presentations and networking with customers from several countries, an effort that has generated significant projects and new business in Chile, Panama and Venezuela, among others.

Carlos Eduardo Yáñez, Audio/Video/Data Connectivity Sales Manager, is also part of INVISO’s team. Yáñez has worked for over 20 years in sales, and has extensive knowledge of the Latin American market. He is also certified as Technology Specialist, and most recently has worked in sales and project integration for the broadcast market.

To meet the challenge, INVISO will have a new Project Manager with extensive experience in television and specific responsibility for the Caribbean area. “This market holds good opportunities and a lot of potential. We will give it a new boost, and grow it,” concluded Reyes.
